In 1990 Gloria Petyarre travelled to Ireland, England and India to display her paintings at the Utopia Art exhibition.
In 1995-96, she received a Full Fellowship Grant from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Board of the Australian Council and won Australia’s most prestigious art award, the ‘Wynne Painting Prize’, at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
